The picture shows this Old Fire Alarm Company Advertising Desk Pen Holder. It is made of marblized bakelite or some other old plastic material. There is a holder for a pen but no pen is included. There is also a slot in the base to hold another pen. There is a brown felt bottom. It is marked as follows:

NEWARK, NEW JERSEY
MArket 3-8794

The base measures 5-3/4" x 3-3/4" x 7/8". It is in excellent condition with the surface wear mainly only showing up in the glare of light.
