The date of the game that these are from is unknown but it was a Nashua Pirates home game at the Holman Stadium in Nashua, New Hampshire against the Albany Yankees. The (42) page souvenir program book has profiles on the Pirates ball players, a schedule, Pictures of the Mayor and other city officials, an article on ''How To Enjoy A Basball Game'', a short article and picture of Bob Feller, an article entitled ''Talkin' Baseball... With The Vice President''. It has a 1948 picture of George Bush in a baseball uniform with Babe Ruth. It has some baseball trivia, some pictures and an article about some 1800s ball players, and article with pictures of the Pittsburgh Pirates visiting Nashua, and pictures of mascots. There is much local advertising, and national advertising including: Pepsi Cola, Campbell's Soup, The Boston Red Sox, Carvel Ice Cream, Hood Ice Cream, and more. The player list has much local advertising and lists all of the players and statisics of the Nashua Pirates and the Albany Yankees. The Scorecard is unused. It has much advertising, both local and national companies including: Pepsi Cola, Eagle Snacks, Zenith, Howard Johnson's Restaurant, Carvel Ice Cream, Kahn's Hot Dogs, Pizza Hut, French's Mustard, and many more. The back pictures ''The Famous Chicken'', ''Pirate Parrot'', Max Patkin, and Bob Feller. All three of these items measure about 8-1/2'' x 11''. The player list is in mint condition. The program is excellent with some cover wear and the score card is excellent with some light corner bends. |
