There are two pictures showing a view of all (17) Old Bakelite Or Other Early Plastic Items in this lot.

The first picture shows everything here and the second picture shows any damage that was found. I am not an expert on bakelite, celluloid or other early plastic materials. You will need to judge by the pictures. I will try to describe these things the best I can.

The first item is an old Hamilton Watch case. The lid has an ornate raised design and a crest with the name "HAMILTION" in the center on a banner. Inside the top section is lined in what looks like a gold silk. It has the crest imprinted with the name "HAMILTON" over it. Below that is a banner that reads "HAMILTON WATCH". The bottom inside is lined in blue velvet and there are two holes to mount the watch or watch holder. This is nice! I wish I had the watch to go with it. Judging by the quality of the box, the watch must have been a gold or platinum. In the picture the lid was not aligned. This was corrected. When opened the spring hinge just popped back into place and it is fine. There are some numbers in the bottom which read "1255 - 1 - 2014951" and there is a patent number "1833305" which I believe places this around the year 1931. I see absolutely no damage on this piece.

Next is an old button hook tool. I'm not sure if this was for shoes or clothing buttons. It has only light wear to the handle but some rusting on the metal section.

Next is a "FEDERAL STAINLESS STEEL" knife. The handle is worn from use.

Next is an old bottle opener. It has only light wear to the handle and some light rusting on the metal section.

Next is an old miniature nail file tool. It has a nice color green handle. It appears to be in excellent or near mint condition.

Next is an old fingernail buffing tool. I am not sure what to call the plastic on this one. It is of varigated colors. The bottom feels like a soft leather. It is marked "GERMANY". The top section has only very light wear and the bottom is a little dirty from use.

There is an old pin at the bottom of the picture. It appears to be made of bakelite and a non magnetic metal. It is probably chrome plated. It could use a cleaning but is in excellent condition.

There is an acorn looking box. The caps screws off. I am not sure what this is, but it is nicely carved. It was found in an old box of sewing items. Perhaps it once held thread. There is a hole in the side (see picture #2) I am not sure if it is supposed to be there or not. Maybe a squirrel found it and thought it was a real nut. I don't know.

There is a Scottie Dog Pin. It has two of the five stones missing. These as well as the pin on the back can be easily relaced (see picture #2). Both mounts are on the back, just the pin is gone.

The last (9) items are all smaller. There is:

A red disk
Two small drawer pulls (?) with their screws
(2) buttons with Navy Sailors
An octagon and a leaf clothing buttons
A duck charm
A heart charm

I see nothing wrong with these items except one sailor fell off. It was only glued and can be easily reglued back on. All of these items for one price! To judge the sizes the Watch Box measures 5-1/4" wide.
