The picture below shows a front and back view of this Artist Made Sterling Silver Cracker Jack Prize Baseball Player Proto Type Jewelry Pin. PLEASE NOTE: The second picture below is only shown for reference, please read below. These were created by an Artist / Silversmith. The Artist / Silversmith's name has been misplaced. I had worked with the Artist in the early 1990s to get the manufacture of these approved by both Borden, Inc. and their licensing company Leisure Concepts, Inc.. No one had followed through with creating them to sell. As far as I know, I had the only ones that were ever made and this Baseball Player that I had kept for myself is the only one left available. The others have already been sold. For reference, the original ten beautiful sterling silver pins that had been created included the following: Native American Indian Woman, Native American Indian Chief, Log Cabin with Tree, Cow Girl, Sheriff, Elephant with Circus Barrel, Seal with Ball on Nose, Policeman, Baseball Player Fielder (THIS PIN), and a Dolphin. Each was produced from a 1950s Nosco plastic stand up prize and the prizes were destroyed in the process. These do not have a base as made because they were made to be a jewelry item and not a stand up figure. They are quality pins with all the detail of the prizes. They are solid silver (marked sterling) with a pin embedded in the back. Each is a one of a kind. The baseball Player pin measures about 1-13/16'' tall and it is in mint unused condition as pictured. |
