| | | | The picture shows a view of the (2) Old Unused & Boxed Zippo Portable Utility Clothes Lines in this lot. These are not dated but they are believed to be from the 1950s when plastic was a new material being used. The portable clothes line reels are made of hard plastic (one red & one blue), or as the box states ''RUSTPROOF PLASTIC CASE''. It also states that they have ''A REEL WITH 28 FT. OF LINE FOR LIGHT LAUNDRY OR TRAVELING''. The boxes have a die cut display top section that pictures the reel and reads ''ZIPPO UTILITY LINE FOR DRYING HOSIERY, LINGERIE AND LIGHT LAUNDRY''. The box pictures a woman hanging clothes. There are directions on the bottom of the boxes and they come with a few screw hooks to hang them up. To judge the sizes the boxes each measure 3-3/8'' x 3-1/8'' x 2-3/8''. The reels appear to be in excellent to near mint unused condition as pictured. The boxes have some old shelf wear and one has a piece missing from the diecut top. |
