Coin   Token   Medal   Club   New York City
The picture shows a view of both sides of this nice 40th Anniversary coin. From the looks of this coin it appears to be a very elite club in the city. It was very well designed and minted. In the center on one side it has a fancy intertwined monogram type logo (24K). Around the logo is a wreath with a bow. Closer to the edge it reads:

 THE TWENTY-FOUR KARAT CLUB
OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK

The other side of the coin has an eagle with spread wings. There is the Sun at the bottom with rays over the background. The center section reads:

 40th ANNIVERSARY
 WALDORF - ASTORIA
 NEW YORK
 JANUARY 17 - 1942

The coin is marked sterling to the left of the Sun and has the initials "D & C" to the right. These letters probably stand for Dieges & Clust as it reads on the other 24K Club item I have for sale. It measures 1-1/4" wide and 1/8" thick at the edge. It is in excellent condition.
