Monty Python   Holy Grail   Movie   Comedy   Comedian   British   Film   Actor   Script
The pictures show views of this ©1972 Monty Python and The Holy Grail Movie First Draft Script. This entire draft is one of an unknown number of copies that were made for those involved. It is complete with changes, ommissions, additions, various stampings, and a letter at the back (pictured). The letter is dated August 5th, 1974. This is the first draft of what is called ''MONTY PYTHON'S SECOND FILM''. The Monty Python crew listed as Writers and Directors include:

Graham Chapman
John Cleese
Terry Gilliam
Eric Idle
Terry Jones
Michael Palin

Included is a picture of a Knight fighting the Black Knight with the title and licensing credit below (pictured). On the back of the picture, continued from the last page (letter) is a copied drawing of a title that reads:

THE
TRAILER
FOR
MONTY
PYTHON
&
THE HOLY GRAIL

Altogether there is a total of (52) pages. The script had obviously had many more changes made before the making of The Holy Grail. It is filled with the same really funny British humor that they have maintained through the years. Reading the script it is interesting to see what the movie could have or would have had in it. Even the letter is funny. If you are familiar with Monty Python you will recognize some of the lines that they were requested to leave out. The script is sure to please and bring many laughs.

The script measures 7-5/8'' x 9-3/4''. It is in excellent condition.
