| | | The pictures show views of this Old Portsmouth New Hampshire Area Advertising Souvenir Picture Book. Shown is the cover and two sample pages. This book is not dated but believed to be from the 1800s or early 1900s. The book has a soft cover and (56) unnumbered pages. The book has a long title: ILLUSTRATED MEMORIES of PORTSMOUTH, ISLES OF SHOALS, NEW CASTLE YORK HARBOR, YORK BEACH, AND RYE, NEW HAMPSHIRE The book was published by G. W. Morris of 124 Franklin Street, Portland, Maine. There are five pages at the beginning with History of the area. The rest of the book has large detailed horizontal format black & white photograph images with captions or titles below each. The book measures 10-3/4'' x 7-1/4''. It is in excellent condition with some age discoloration and a cover corner tips missing. There is also some wear to the binding edge and it has scotch tape on that edge.
