The picture shows a view of the (2) Old Hollis New Hampshire Grocery Store Photographs in this lot. Also shown is a closer view of each. One is an exterior view from 1955 and the other is an interior view from 1962. Both are black & white photos. The first photo is actually of a couple after their wedding coming out of a church. The store is in the background. The sign on the store reads ''GABRIEL BROS. MKT.''. There are two old Coca-Cola signs, two Cott Soda signs, and a few more in the windows that can't be made out. There is a man who is on a ladder and appears to be painting the front of the building. Penciled on the back is ''Hollis, N.H. 1955''. The second photo is of a man inside this same store. On the front it is marked ''DEC 27, 62 Taken in Gabriels Market Hollis N.H.''. The back is marked ''Dec. 27, 1962 Taken in Gabriels Market Hollis, N.H.''. It pictures a man in a hat and jacket. Behind the man there are stocked shelves of groceries, canned goods, a full magazine rack, a rack full of toys including a farmland playset figure set, a Durocher's Ice Cream advertising clock, a Pepsi - Cola sign, isle signs, a reward sign, and another sign that reads ''Al's Exchange We Buy & Sell Used Furniture Dial 88 3-3424''. The first photo measures 3-1/2'' x 5-3/4'' and the second one measures 3-1/2'' x 3-1/2''. They are in excellent condition as pictured. |
