They are ©1967 ''The Early History of Newburyport Massachusetts''. This booklet was first published in 1926 by Nicholas Arakelian, and this issue has a few additional pages. These booklets are from the ''Mary Alice Arakelian Foundation''. The booklets have many old Historic images. the pages are not numbered. The other book included here is ©1990 by the Historical Society of Old Newbury. It is ''Newburyport Tales: Children of The Late 1800s''. The (92) page book is a collection of short stories for children. The illustrations and cover are by Nancy Philo Oleson. The short stories inside include the following: KIP AND THE MARY B. BLOUNTIN by Tempa Pagel INDEPENDENCE DAY by Mary F. McDonald THE SECRET TUNNEL by Grace Gonzalez Connolly A PEACABLE CHRISTMAS by Janet Soupcoff All three books for one price! To judge the sizes the center book pictured measures 6'' x 8-1/2'' x 3/8''. They appear to be in excellent or better condition. The right booklet has fading to the cover. Apparently another book was on top of it and shielded it for some time as pictured. |
