The picture shows the front and back covers of the (2) Old Drug Advertising Premium Booklets in this lot. The first one is entitled "OUR PRESIDENTS". The cover pictures Washington, Lincoln, McKinley, and Wilson. It is not dated but the last president is Herbert Hoover (1930). The booklet has (34) pages with images of United States Presidents and information about them. There are also many drug advertisemets for: Dr. Miles Nervine, Little Pills, Laxative Tablets, Anti-Pain Pills, Aspir-Mint, and Alka-Seltzer. There is a space on the back where the drug store name and address is to be imprinted. This one reads as follows: HACKETT'S FRANK W. HACKETT, PROP. 30 N. MAIN ST., ROCHESTER, N.H. The second booklet is entitled "Dr. MILES JOKE BOOK" The cover pictures two men and two women. One has just opened a joke can with a spring. The back has a colorful old clown. It is not dated but it is from sometime around 1930. The booklet has (34) pages filled with images of people and jokes. There are also many drug advertisemets for: Dr. Miles Nervine, Little Pills, Laxative Tablets, Anti-Pain Pills, Aspir-Mint, and Alka-Seltzer. There is a space on the back where the drug store name and address is to be imprinted. This one reads as follows: LIGHTBODY'S CENTRAL SQUARE DRUG STORE ROCHESTER, N.H. These two drug stores were located near each other and that entire city block burned down a few years ago. They each measure 6-1/8" x 4-3/4". These have some creasing and the second one has a cover tear as pictured. |
