The picture below shows a larger view of all (6) Different Colorful Old Miniature Hollow Celluloid Toy or Prize Items in this lot. These are not dated but they are believed to be from the early 1900s. They are not marked and the makers are unknown. These are painted. Some of these may have been used as a prize toy in a box of Cracker Jack. Some may have been sold as penny toys, and some may have been won as carnival prizes. They were available in many ways including old novelty catalogs. Included in this lot are the following items: Small Person, weighted, flower & pony tail hair. Man Figure, with top hat & cane, small indent on back. Naked Baby or Doll. Chicken or Rooster, weighted. Duck, Swan, or Goose Bird. Fish, small hole on top. All of these for one price! To judge the sizes the man with the tophat measures 1-1/2'' tall. These appear to range from good to mint as made condition as pictured and described above. These are very fragile items. It is hard to believe that any of them have survived all of these years. |
