The pictures show views of this Old Flash Gordon Space Character Vest & Cuffs Costume Set. Shown are both front and back views. The Flash Gordon costume pieces are not dated but they are believed to be from the 1940s or 1950s. We do not know if there were other pieces to the set. This is the first one we have ever seen one of these. It could have been sold in a store, maybe as a Halloween costume, or used as a radio premium. There is a tag on the vest, but it is only marked ''LOT LARGE''. These three pieces are made of a material that has a cloth backing and a blue velvet like front. They each have a thick transfer of Flash Gordon on a rocket in space, with another rocket, a crescent moon, stars, and his name. The vest or belt image has him firing a ray gun. There is an attached belt on the vest that ties and a yellow ''V'' shape sewn on to the front. The cuffs each have two snaps. To judge the sizes the vest measures about 13'' wide by 20-1/2'' tall. It is in good condition as pictured with some light wear and small spotting. There is no care label but it could probably be cleaned. That will be left up to the buyer to decide. |
