The pictures show a front and back view of this Old Unused Western Cowboy Novelty Souvenir Real Photo Post Card. This black & white photograph is not dated but it is old. The stamp box design dates this post card between 1904 and 1918. This is the type of photo that was taken at an attraction or Amusement park like Disneyland or Knotts Berry Farm. You would get dressed up and stand or sit in front of a background. In this case the background is of a Death Valley saloon log building with a ''Dead or Alive'' wanted poster hanging outside. The man is dressed in a full cowboy outfit including boots, chaps, gun belt, holster, revolver, cuffs, shirt, vest, pocket watch fob chain, neckerchief, and hat. It is a great image and it may have even been his own clothes, if only the background were more realistic. This real photo postcard measures 3-7/16'' x 5-7/16''. It appears to be in near mint unused condition as pictured. |
