(9) Old U.S. Army Air Force Items
United States   Army Air Force   World War II   WWII   Military   Americana   Historical
There are three pictures showing a view of all (9) Old U.S. Army Air Force Items in this lot. These items all came out of the same scrap book. First there is a 1943 Christmas Greeting card from D.A.A.F. DEMING, NEW MEXICO. It has a nice image of two aircraft, and a Christmas tree with stars. Inside is a standard greeting and it is signed "SINCERELY BOB '43". It has some age yellowing and a spot in the upper left corner from tape.

Next is a 1944 United States Army Air Forces Graduating Class Invitation. It has an embossed silver image of wings with a bomb on the front. There are two small pieces of tape attached as pictured. Inside it is marked as follows:

The Army Air Forces
Bombardier School Of
Demming, New Mexico
Announces The Graduation Of
Class 44-1
On Saturday Morning, January Fifteeth
Nineteen Hundres And Fourty-Four
Demming, New Mexico

Next is a small card that is marked as follows:

Robert K. Strachan
Flight Officer, Air Forces
Army Of The United States

Next there is a small newspaper clipping mentioning prison camps.

After that there are (3) black & white photographs. They each have gold stars on them. They appear to be of a Memorial. In each there is a flower arrangement with ribbon and a photograph of a man in uniform.

The last two items are newspaper clippings. One is a picture and the other has a picture and article about (9) Massachusetts men serving on the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Tulagi. There is some tape on these. The following is a list of the names mentioned and the towns they were from:

MoMM3c W.F. Burke, Chelsea
Lt. J.F.X. Curran, Milton
Lt. A. Monosson, Brookline
Ens. W. O'Connor, Fitchburg
MM2c G.D. Connors, Cambridge
Cox O.J. Lagimoniere, Springfield
PhM1c J.G. Souza, Somerville
