The picture shows all (3) 1940's Boy Scout Color Slides Encased In Glass in this lot. The three old color slides are of the same Boy Scout troop. The first slide image has (13) Boy Scouts in uniform standing with (9) men and another boy behind them. Three of the Scouts are holding flags. One is a (48) star American flag, one is a gold and white flag with an emblem and the last flag has an emblem and is partially readable. It reads "TROOP 13 ARLINGTON, MASS. ***** COUNCIL". There are two houses that can be seen in the background. The second slide image has (14) Boy Scouts in uniform standing with (8) men and another boy behind them. There is also what appears to be a Minister or Rabbi beside them dressed in black. Three of the Scouts are holding flags. They are the same flags mentioned above. There are two houses that can be seen in the background. An interesting thing about this slide is that there are people looking out of windows in the house behind them, and also to help date these slides there is a World War II Family War Service Flag hanging in a window. The third slide image has (13) Boy Scouts in uniform standing in a row. Three of the Scouts are holding flags. They are the same flags mentioned above. There are two houses that can be seen in the background as well as a car behind them. To help date these slides this one also has the same World War II Family War Service Flag hanging in a window. The slides each measure 2" x 2". They are in excellent condition with the exception of a small corner crack in the glass on one side. This does not affect the image at all and could be replaced if desired. |
