(8) WWII Era Drug Store Front / Exterior Photographs With Advertising

The picture shows all (8) WWII Era Drug Store Front / Exterior Photographs With Advertising in this lot. Unfortunately because of the picture size below much can not be seen. These photographs were taken during World War II in front of an old drug store. The name of the store was Royal Pharmacy. I do not know for sure where it was located. My guess is that it was in Cambridge or Boston, Massachusetts but I could be completely wrong.

Some are dated and they range from 1939 to 1942. The dated ones are stamped on the back with the date and

"PETER PAN PRINT REGISTERED MONOSSON PHOTO SERVICE".

These were taken with what appears to be family and friends in front of the Mom & Pop drugstore and the adjacent antique store. In the store front windows are a variety of nice advertising displays, signs, posters, packaging, and decals. Some are war related and some have an old movie theatre poster. In a few even old comic books can be seen hanging in the window. This place also had an ice cream / soda fountain service as well. Please see below for a listing of some of the advertising in this particular lot of photos. Some of them may only be partially visable as mentioned below. This lot includes the following visable advertising. Some may be in more then one photo, but are only mentioned once:

(2) "PRINCE ALBERT - THE NATIONAL JOY SMOKE" signs.

Large "PRINCE ALBERT" package display. It reads "PRINCE ALBERT - CRIMP CUT LONG BURNING PIPE AND CIGARETTE TOBACCO".

Large "PRINCE ALBERT" display with man. It reads "WANT MILDNESS WITH RICH TASTE? TRY P.A. IN PIPES OR PAPERS. - THE NATIONAL JOY SMOKE.".

"DRINK COCA - COLA" sign.

"Rx PRESCRIPTIONS" sign.

"SAVE RALEIGH COUPONS FOR U.S. WAR STAMPS" poster.

Partial War Bond poster.

"GILLETTE BLADES" sign.

Small war poster with Uncle Sam, It reads: "TIN SALVAGE STATION FOR EMPTY COLLAPSEABLE METAL TUBES - I NEED THE TIN IN YOUR EMPTY TOOTHPASTE & SHAVE CREAM TUBES - BRING THEM IN".

Small poster with Statue of Liberty.

Large display with pretty lady and packaging. It reads: "DR. LYON'S TOOTH POWDER - DO AS YOUR DENTIST DOES USE POWDER - AMERICA'S LARGEST SELLING TOOTH POWDER".

Partial Prince Albert display, pictures men and package. It reads: "PRINCE ALBERT - SURE SMOKES COOL! - RICH TASTE NO BITE! - CRIMP CUT".

Old Sunoco Gas pumps and sign that reads "SUNOCO OIL".

One photo is of a woman sitting on the curb smoking and one is a funny photo of Ladies showing legs / stockings. All the photos in this lot measure 3-1/2" x 5". They are in mint as made condition.
