| The picture shows all (8) Small Old Catholic / Christian Religious Items in this lot. Both sides of a relic with picture are shown. The relic is enclosed in clear plastic with a picture and a seal on the back. It is a piece of white cloth. There is a crocheted border with a charm loop. The seal on the back reads: "IMI - POST CAUSAE S.D. THEOD CURIN". There is a Crucifix made of wood with the front covered with abalone or mother of pearl shell. There is a metal Jesus Christ and sign. This Crucifix appears to have a relic within. At the bottom is a hole plugged with a wooden plug and sealed. There is a wooden cross with an imprinted Native American Indian design. The front reads "GOD BLESS OUR HOME" and the back reads "HOLY ROSARY MISSION ????? RIDGE, SOUTH DAKOTA". There is a miniature boxed hardback book. The box and cover are black. It is entitled "MY BEST COMPANION". It is a "Manual of Prayer for Catholics CONTAINING THE ESSENTIAL PRAYERS". It is from the Catholics Publications Press of New York. Oddly it is marked both "MADE IN CZECHOSLOVAKIA" and "MADE IN GERMANY". It is dated 1931 and there are 128 pages. One page is creased but otherwise it is in mint condition. There is another miniature hard back book. It is entitled "FOUR PEARLS FROM THE LORD'S TREASURY" or "PRECEPT, PROMISE, PRAYER, AND PRAISE FROM THE HOLY SCRIPTURES FOR EACH DAY OF THE YEAR". It was by M.E. Munson, Publisher or New York. It is undated but old. There are 190 pages. All of the pages are clean, but the first leaf page is incomplete and loose and has gift writing. The back leaf page has a corner missing. There are (3) Auto dashboard items here. Two are miniature plastic statues of the Madonna. One has a swivel section and a magnet on the bottom. The swivel section has a picture on each side under a cloudy lens. One side has has Mary or the Madonna, and the other side appears to be Joseph and baby Jesus Christ. All of these items for one price! To judge the sizes the larger book measures 2-5/8" x 3-1/2" x 3/8". |
