| The picture shows all (3) Religious Young Boy Photographs in this lot. One of these pictures two boys, probably Brothers, in an old oval metal frame with convex glass. One is a larger photo of the younger boy next to an ornate old table. This one comes with the paper mat seen. The mat is marked at the bottom: "ARDEN 155-10 JAMAICA AVE. JAMAICA, N.Y.". The last photo is the same image as the larger one only cropped. I am not exactly sure what faith these boys were. These may be alter boys, but I do not know for sure. In the center picture they are both holding Rosary Beads, so it is a Christian faith. They are also holding small books, which are most likely some type of prayer book. These boys are dressed in suits with knickers and large bow ties. They also have large bows on their arms. To judge the sizes the oval frame in the center measures 5-3/8" x 7-1/4". The photograph in the center was cut to fit the oval frame. It appears to be in excellent condition. The larger one has some wear on both the photo and the mat. The smaller photo has a missing corner section as pictured. |
