There are two pictures showing a view of all (4) Old Catholic Religious Relic Items in this lot. The first picture shows the front and back of the first two items here and the second picture shows the other two included items. First is a 3/4" wide necklace medallion. It is in very good condition. It is marked on the back as follows: LINEN TOUCHED TO THE HOLY TONGUE OF THE SAINT PADUA ITALY The second item is a relic enclosed between a tiny old photograph and a paper backing. That is enclosed within a sewn clear covering. It measures 1-1/8" wide. It appears to be in very good condition with hairline cracking on the old photo. It is marked on the relic cover as follows: CLOTH TOUCHED TO THE RELIC OF MOTHER SETON The third item is a card with an enclosed relic. It appears to be in French. I do not read French, so I can not tell you much about this. It pictures a nun with a crown of thorns by a crucifix with Jesus Christ. It is dated 1949. There is a shield shaped seal with a cross on the back covering the relic that reads: "SITIO SS. AD. DU P.S.". It is in very good condition with light wrinkling and a paper clip mark. The bold print below the oval picture reads (without accents) as follows: MERE CATHERINE - AURELIE DU PRECIEUX - SANG I'm not sure if the last item in this lot can be called a relic or not. Maybe it could be called a blessed item, I don't know. There is a letter and a tissue paper with dried rose petals inside. It is an old undated hand written letter that reads as follows: Oh Lord Jesus Christ, deign to look with favor on these roses, which we bless in honor of the Virgin St. Teresa, Thy Spouse, Grant that all those who breathe their fragrance may run after Thee to the odor of Thy ointments, and may deserve by the intercession of Thy Spouse, to receive health of soul and body, who livist & reignist with the Father, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God world without end. Amen The letter is unsigned and blank on the back-. It measures 5-1/2" x 8-1/4". It is in very good condition with fold creases. |
