| | | The pictures below show larger views of the front and back covers, and two random images from inside this 1920s Cracker Jack Company Angelus Marshmallows Advertising Premium Recipe Booklet. The front has the Angelus girl advertising character with a box of marshmallows as a drum, and the back has (2) opened and unopened boxes of Cracker Jack. The opened box has Cracker Jack spilled out, with an advertising tin toy prize spinning top. It has the Cracker Jack slogan “THE MORE YOU EAT – THE MORE YOU WANT”. It is titled “ANGELUS RECIPES” with the advertising slogan “ONE TASTE INVITES ANOTHER”, the “other” meaning Cracker Jack. There are (16) pages full of recipes, with (8) dessert illustrations inside, including an Angelus advertising tin container and box. It is printed in blue ink, and was published by The Cracker Jack Company. This booklet was used as a mail away, and an in store advertising premium. The booklet measures about 4-1/16" x 6". It appears to be in good condition as pictured. It has some creasing and spotting on the cover. On the back, there is some extra paper at the top where is was once attached to a marshmallow package. |
