| | | The pictures show views of all of the pages of this Old Native American Indian End of The Trail Christian Missionary History Booklet. This booklet is not dated but it is believed to be from the 1920s. The booklet is by Reverend Paul Leeds and from The Congregational Home Missionary Society of 289 Fourth Avenue in New York. This booklet, of course, has the missionary's account of how they saved the Native Americans with their religion and ways. There is a nice cover with tall pines. There is a path or a trail that leads to a church with a steeple off in the distance. There are some old Native pictures inside this (16) page booklet. The captions for the pictures are as follows: Sunday Dinner At The Indian Parish A Member of The Indian Parish Winnie Tampa Who Waited A Century For The Gospel Prof. L. L. Simmons and Indian Pupils Starting On The Trail (Native baby with a small feather headdress) The booklet measures 3-5/8'' x 6-1/8''. It appears to be in excellent condition with some light wear from handling. There is a light water spot on some of the pages around the top staple as pictured. |
