The badges are not dated but they are believed to be from the 1920s or 1930s. They are not marked and the makers are unknown. The badges are die cut and stamped. The left one has a silver color front and a white painted back. The right one has a gold color front and a silver colored back. The two are embossed as follows: POLICE

CAPTAIN CAPTAIN The badge on the right was also used in a mail away premium police set that included the badge and a few other metal toy items. I do not have a Cracker Jack ID number for these embossed tin prizes. Both of these badges for one price! To judge the sizes, the right badge measures about 2-1/16'' x 2-1/2''. The left one appears to be in mint condition and the right one appears to be excellent condition with only light wear as pictured. |
