| | | The picture shows a view of this Unopened ©1991 Case Box of ProSet Super Stars Second Series Music Cards. We have no examples of the cards to show but a few are pictured on the box. The cards in this case are from Series #2 of the card set. The unopened box holds (36) packs with (10) music cards, an advertising card, and a contest card in each (432 cards total). The box has a diecut section on the top that pops up for display on a store shelf. It measures 5-1/2'' x 5'' x 3-3/8''. It is in mint unopened condition as pictured. Below here, thanks to Jeff Allender's House of Checklists, is very detailed information about this set (Series I and Series II) of music cards: SuperStars MusiCards ProSet - 1991 Notes: These cards were distributed in four major ways. First, display boxes included 10 - card packs. Second, jumbo boxes included 20 - card packs. Third, a ''second series'' was distributed in 10 - card packs, which included cards 1 - 260 (slightly fewer of each) and supplemental cards 271 - 340 (slightly more of each per pack). ''Second series'' cards are distinguished by the logo placed in the lower right corner of the card front, while first-series cards had the logo at the upper left. But Pro Set also re-distributed the base set of 1 - 260 in 9 - card packs, either at the same time, or as leftovers (''Fourth'') than the boxes that contained both the 1 - 260 cards and the 261 - 340 cards. This ''second printing'' (and cards 1 - 260 in the boxes that included the 1 - 340 sequence) included several corrected cards from the first printing. Card #90 had been incorrectly printed as #86 ''The Party'' in the first print run, and this numbering was corrected. Another 15 cards have been identified where first-series cards were reprinted with the logo at the lower right. Both the upper-left and lower-right variations can be found in the second print run of 1 - 260 (10 - card packs) and in the Second Series (packs containing 1 - 340). I suspect that the change was due to altering two 9 - up printing plates, which probably means that those plates included two unchanged ''concerts'' cards that do not show the logos. Most of the logo shifts are accompanied by updated card text, but a few are not. Extreme thanks to Philip Brazina for identifying these logo shift varieties and to Ron Zakos and Steve Kitsberg for updates! Phil also reports rumors that there may be up to three variations for every card, with the card backs referring to different advertisements (''Rock Express,'' ''Blimpie'', and No Ad). A separate 150 - card set (''Fifth'') was printed for the U.K. market, containing cards not found in the North American series. Jon Doyle reports that these cards are similar to cards 26 - 150 of the North American set, with mauve / purple and green borders on card backs, but no yellow splotches on the white background in the middle. Thanks also to Todd Lewis for the update! First Print Run Box: 36 packs of 10 cards + 1 ad insert + 1 game card. Common sets: approximately 1.37 per box if collation were perfect. First Print Run Jumbo Box: 18 packs of 20 cards + 1 game card. Common sets: approximately 1.37 per box. Second Print Run Box: 36 packs of 9 cards + 1 ad insert + 1 game card. Common sets: approx. 1.25 per box if collation were perfect. ''Series Two'' Box: 36 packs of 10 cards numbered 1 - 340 + 1 game card.
