| | | The picture shows a view of all (11) Kellogg's ©1980 Lake Placid Winter Olympics Cereal Prize Trading Card Stickers in this lot. There are some duplicates and one was turned over to show the back. These are not numbered and we do not know how many are in the set. We believe that they were found as prizes in Kellogg's cereal boxes, but they may have been given out at the Olympic games as well. These cards were found in a collection of Canadian cereal prizes. They may be from Canada or the United States. They were made by Bates Printing Specialties, Inc. of Chicago, Illinois. The sticker cards have the 1980 Lake Placid New York Olympics raccoon mascot and a description of each on the back. Some have a picture taken at the location and a few have Olympics logos. Others have Kelloggs cereal advertising characters in different sporting events. The sticker cards include the following: Raccoon Mascot logo with Olympic Rings. XIII Olympic Winter Games Lake Placid 1980 logo. (3) Lake Placid Olympic Village. Four Man Bobsled with Raccoons, Dig 'em Frog from Honey Smacks and Snap, Crackle, & Pop of Rice Krispies. Ice Hockey with Raccoon and Tony the Tiger from Frosted Flakes. Figure Skating with Raccoon and Tusk the Elephant of Cocoa Krispies. Pairs Skating with Raccoon and the Apple Jacks Kids. Luge with Raccoon and Tony Tiger Jr. of Frosted Rice. The sticker cards each measure 2-7/8'' x 2''. They are in mint unused condition as pictured. |
