| | | The picture shows a view of this Unused 1956 Rock Pretty Baby Movie Ad Mat Mold. The ad mat is not dated but it is from 1956 when this movie was made. This is a mold in which lead is poured to create a thin metal negative image that is then mounted on a wooden block for printing. Advertising is no longer being made or printed like this. The ad mat is like a miniature 3-D poster and would look nice framed, or you could still use it and make print blocks from it. The print block would have been used to print on movie pages in newspapers, in magazines, or in the movie theater programs. It is made of a thick compressed paper board. This admat has images of people dancing and a man playing a guitar. It is marked as follows: THE WONDERFUL STORY OF TODAY'S ROCK AND ROLL GENERATION! ROCK TO 12 HIT TUNES! ROCK, PRETTY BABY! STARRING SAL MINEO - JOHN SAXON - LUANA PATTEN WITH EDWARD C. PLATT - FAY WRAY - ROD McKUEN (Universal International logo) A UNIVERSAL INTERNATIONAL PICTURE MAT NO. 106 The ad mat measures about 2-1/2'' x 8-3/8''. It is in mint unused condition as pictured.
