| | | | The pictures show views of this Colorful Old Miniature Toy Doll Parasol or Umbrella. It is shown opened and closed. The umbrella is not dated but it is believed to be from the 1950s. It is not marked and the maker is unknown. It is a realistic working umbrella, only small. We do not know if this came as an accessory with a particular doll or not. It could have even been used as a salesman's sample. It works, opens, and closes just like the real thing. It is made of cloth, metal, and painted wood parts. The green and tan cloth has a plaid or checkered pattern. The tip and handle are painted wood. The closed umbrella measures 7'' long. It appears to be in excellent condition as pictured. There is one spot where a seam is starting to come apart (lower left, second picture), but the tip could easily be sewn together again. |
