| The picture below shows a larger view of this 1949 Black & White Christmas Photograph with A Boy and Toys. The location of this photo and the child pictured are unknown. The back is simply marked “1949” and the front upper right is marked “'49”. It appears that the young boy and others have opened their wrapped Christmas presents. It looks like there is a closed or fake fireplace with decorations and a full stocking hanging. The boy is sitting on the floor with his new toys, some of which include a tin “Keystone Garage”, a metal crane, a Walt Disney Mickey Mouse figure on a scooter, a clown figure or doll, a toy car, a tin wind up scottie dog, and a bird. There are other items in the photo that may be seen with a magnifying glass as well. In the background there is a decorated Christmas tree, shelves with trinkets or decorations, some chairs, and more. The old black and white snap shot photograph measures 4-1/2'' x 2-3/4''. It appears to be in good or better condition as pictured. There is some light age cracking on the surface and some extra black paper on the back from being in a photo album or scrap book at some time. |
