| | | | The pictures show a front and back view of all (6) Old Peerless Weight Scale Movie Star Fortune Cards in this lot. These cards were acquired in old arcades, drug stores, five & dime stores, barber shops, or anywhere else that had a Peerless weight scale at their business. These are printed in black on white card stock paper. The cards are all marked with an actor or actress name, a credit, and a fortune. Each of these is used and came from one of the scale machines. On the backs they are imprinted with the weight of the user as well as a date. Three are dated 1932 and others are from around the same time period.
These were all from The Peerless Weight & Vending Machine Corporation of New York. There are three different cards from two different sets included here. Three of these are numbered but it is unknown how many are in each of the sets. Each card measures about 1-1/8'' x 2-1/8''. They are all in excellent used condition as pictured. In the order pictured the movie stars and the credits on the cards are marked as follows:
