| | | The picture shows a view of this Old Richfield Gasoline Station Photograph. It has a side view of the gas station. The photo is believed to be from New Hampshire or Massachusetts from the early 1940s. In the photo there are three pumps and two have the old advertising glass globes. Two are for gasoline and one is marked ''Range Oil''. There is a display between them that probably has motor oil on it. There is a case of ''Polar Lube Motor Oil'' behind one pump. There is a sign on a post that is hard to make out. There is a ''Sealtest Ice Cream'' sign next to the building and an old bicycle on the porch area. A house two cars and a truck can also be seen. The back of the photo is marked as follows: Harold Tresk 1938 ''Chevy'' Passing. Amos Castor's House Across Street Where Olis & Cecil Underwood and others came to live the year of the hurricane. Harold The above reference is most likely to the 1938 hurricane that hit New England. The photograph measures 6'' x 3-5/8''. It is in fair to good condition with creasing and wear as pictured. |
