The picture below shows a larger view of this Unused ©1957 Peyton Place Romance Drama Movie Ad Mat Mold. The ad mat is not dated but it is from 1957 when this movie was made. This is a mold in which lead is poured to create a thin metal negative image that is then mounted on a wooden block for printing. Advertising is no longer being made or printed like this.

The ad mat is like a miniature 3-D poster and would look nice framed, or you could still use it and make print blocks. The print block would have been used to print on movie pages in newspapers, in magazines, or in the movie theater programs. It is made of a thick compressed paper board. The admat has an image of a scene with two of the actors with town homes in the background. It is marked as follows:
