The picture shows a view of this Old Glass Pekinese Dog Light or Window Shade Pull Cord. The year that this glass dog charm was made is unknown, but it is old and could be from the Victorian era. We think the dog looks like a Pekinese, but could also be a Pomeranian or a similar breed. The dog figure is made of molded glass. There is a front view with the dog's face on each side. The glass at the top of the tail and head as well as the feet are ground smooth. There is also a glass bead above the dog. These are all connected by old metal fittings. The cord is beige or tan in color. There are no markings and the maker is unknown. The cord and charm together measure 20-1/2'' long. It is in excellent condition as pictured.
