The picture shows the covers of all (4) World War II Homefront Patriotic Calendar Booklets & (2) 1950's Advertising Memo Books in this lot. The last two look the same and one was flipped over to show the back. These were made by Brown & Bigelow of St. Paul Minnesota. The WWII booklets are in red, white, and blue and have a different sepiatone patriotic image on each.

These images look like a miniature poster or trading card art. Each of these has a different set of monthly pages (see below). There are some blank perforated pages in the back of each. These were used as a wartime advertising premium. The advertising section on each of these reads as follows:

MACWHYTE COMPANY
KENOSHA, WISCONSIN
MANUFACTURERS OF
WIRE, WIRE ROPE AND BRAIDED SLINGS
AIRCRAFT CABLE, TERMINALS AND TIE RODS

The first booklet is for the month of November 1943 and it has a full 1943 calendar on the inside cover. It has an image of a young couple walking with formations of bomber airplanes above and factories bellowing smoke from smokestacks below. Below it reads: "TO PROTECT OUR WAY OF LIVING" and "WORK ... FIGHT ... SAVE FOR VICTORY!".

The second booklet is for the month of December 1943 and it has a full 1943 calendar on the inside cover. It has an image of an American Bald Eagle in front of a draped United States Flag. Below it reads: "GUARD FREEDOM'S BANNER" and "YOU'RE HELPING TO SHAPE AMERICA'S FUTURE - NOW!".

The third booklet is for the month of January 1944 and it has a full 1944 calendar on the inside cover. It has an image of an American flag above a church and farm land scene. Below it reads: "BACK OF ALL WE CHERISH".

The fourth booklet is for the month of February 1944 and it has a full 1944 calendar on the inside cover. This one has the first two calendar pages missing. It has an image of tanks firing and planes flying. In the sky George Washington has his hand on a colonial Solder's shoulder. Below it reads: "THE ROAD TO GLORY IN A PATRIOT ARMY SHALL BE OPEN TO ALL. -- George Washington".

The fifth booklet is a later advertising memo booklet from the same company as those above. It has a 1-1/2 year calendar on the inside cover that goes from July 1955 to December 1956. The cover pictures a spool of wire rope and there is more advertising on the back. The first few lined pages are missing.

The sixth booklet is a later advertising memo booklet from the same company as those above. It has a calendar on the inside cover that goes from April 1956 to September 1957. The cover pictures a spool of wire rope and there is more advertising on the back. This one has an address in the blank space from "BROWN - WALES COMPANY" of Cambridge, Massachusetts. The first few lined pages are missing and there is writing on one page.

All of these for one price! To judge the sizes the first four booklets measure 3-1/4" x 6". Overall these are in excellent condition with notes as mentioned above.
