The picture below shows larger front and back views of all (3) Different Scarce Unused 1968 Cracker Jack Pop Corn Confection Jive Patch Plastic Vacuform Sticker Prizes in this lot. These were prizes that were used in Cracker Jack boxes, but these examples had come directly from the Designer’s studio. These have a little known name. They are called “Jive Patches”. This information came from the Designer himself. They were manufactured by The Sam Gold Manufacturing Corporation of Chicago, Illinois. These each have an image. One is a football, and two have road signs. They read as follows: P. U. COLLEGE NO PASSING CROSS ROAD – HUMOUR IT The Cracker Jack Prize ID Number for these is: Z-1244. The exact number in this set is unknown. These have a yellow screen like background, and a raised and printed center area. There are instructions on the paper backs that read: PRESS MIDDLE OF THIS STICK – ON PATCH TO PEEL OFF PAPER DON’T STICK ON WALLS They each measure about 1-3/8" x 1-1/8" x 1/8". They are in excellent or better unused condition with some normal age discoloration on the back from the old glue as pictured. |
