The cover pictures two men and two women. One has just opened a joke can with a spring. The back has a colorful old clown. It is not dated but it is from sometime around 1930. The booklet has (34) pages filled with images of people and jokes. There are also many drug advertisemets for: Dr. Miles Nervine, Little Pills, Laxative Tablets, Anti-Pain Pills, Aspir-Mint, and Alka-Seltzer. There is a space on the back where the drug store name and address is to be imprinted. This one reads as follows: GILMAN'S PHARMACY 443 LAKE AVENUE, MANCHESTER, N.H. The second booklet is entitled "NERVES". The covers picture comic strip images. It is not dated but it is from sometime around 1930. The booklet has (34) pages filled with images of people and stories about nerves. There are also many drug advertisemets for: Dr. Miles Nervine, Little Pills, Laxative Tablets, Anti-Pain Pills, Aspir-Mint, and Alka-Seltzer. There is a space on the back where the drug store name and address is to be imprinted. This one is blank. They each measure 6-1/8" x 4-3/4". The first one is in near mint condition. The second one has some pen marks and soiling on the cover. |
