The pictures below show larger views of the (2) Different Old Alice In Wonderland Lewis Carroll Hard Back Story Books in this lot. These story books are by Lewis Carroll. The first book is “Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland”. It does not have a date. It does have an inscription in pencil that reads: “Roxena Prescott From Cousin Maurice Xmas Dec. 1908.” The book has (40) detailed illustrations by John Tenniel. It was published by The W. B. Conkey Company of Chicago, Illinois. The book has two stories inside including “ALICE’S ADVENTURES IN WONDERLAND (150) pages, and “FLOWER FABLES” by Louisa M. Alcott (48) pages. This book appears to be in good used condition. The binding edge has a little separation at the top. Some of the pages have light water spots at the top binding edge side (see picture #2 below). This book measures about 5'' x 6-3/4'' x 1''. The second book is “Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland” and “Through The Looking Glass” (complete in one volume). It does not have a date, but it is believed to be from the 1930s. It has an inscription that may have been from someone in the play that reads: “TO MY LITTLE FRIEND IRENE. FROM ?????????????” (see picture #5 below). The book has many specially posed illustrations from the Paramount Photoplay, throughout the books (300) pages. It was published by Grosset & Dunlap, Publishers of New York. This book appears to be in good used condition. The book has some over all wear from use and the binding edge has some spotting. This book measures about 5-5/8'' x 8-1/4'' x 1-1/2''.
