One is a tie tack type pin with the G.O.P. elephant. One is a pin back button, and the rest are all tin tab buttons. They are marked as follows: VOLPE VOLPE VOTE VOLPE BRING BACK VOLPE All of these for one price! To judge the sizes the pinback button measures 1'' wide. These appear to vary from excellent to mint condition except the gold and black tab button is missing the tab as pictured. Below here, for reference, is some Historical background information on John A. Volpe that was found online: ''Volpe, John Anthony (1908 - 1994) - also known as John A. Volpe of Winchester, Middlesex County, Massachusetts. Born in Wakefield, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, December 8, 1908. Republican. Served in the U.S. Navy during World War II; alternate delegate to Republican National Convention from Massachusetts, 1956, 1960; Governor of Massachusetts, 1961 - 1963, 1965 - 1969; defeated, 1962; resigned 1969; candidate for Republican nomination for President, 1968; U.S. Secretary of Transportation, 1969 - 1973; U.S. Ambassador to Italy, 1973 - 1977.
