The picture shows the center section of this 1893 World's Columbian Exposition Souvenir Woven Handkerchief. I had tried many times to scan the beautiful detail of this piece. Because of the material it was difficult but the picture will at least give you an idea of what it looks like. This was made on site in the Machinery Hall. Woven in the silky material is a beautiful image of the Machinery Building as well as the wording as follows:

MACHINERY HALL
SOUVENIR WOVEN AT
THE WORLD'S COLUMBIAN EXPOSITION
1893
CHICAGO

The Handkerchief is of a light blue / gray color. It measures 12-1/2" x 13-1/2" and the image area within the 1-1/2" border measures 9-5/8" x 3-3/4". It is in very good condition with a few tiny holes and a little removable glue from a price sticker.
