| | | The picture below shows a view of a portion of this January 21st, 1906 Boston Sunday Globe Newspaper Color Comic / Cartoon Section. It is much too big for scanning, but I did scan the top section which has the newspaper's name, the date, and a sampling of one of the comic strips. There are other old newspaper comic sections in my auctions right now. Please be sure to see and bid on the others as well. The one in this auction has (4) full pages. On the first page there is a color comic strip entitled ''A LESSON FOR CHUMPLEY, BY BILLY THE BOY ARTIST''. At the bottom of that page is humor stories. The next page has a Joke and Comic Cuts section with single comics. The third page has stories. The last page has a color comic strip at the top half entitled ''JIM GINGER - TRAVELING SALESMAN.''. The bottom half has more old comedy with images. The fully opened newspaper measures 36-1/2'' x 23-3/4''. It is in good condition with normal wear and tear. |
