Carey Cloud was a prize Designer for Cracker Jack from 1937 to the early 1960s. He had designed hundreds of prizes throughout the depression, World War II and beyond. The novelty toy prizes were made of mainly tin or paper before and after WWII, paper during this time because of war shortages, and mostly of paper and injection molded plastic after the war. The Cracker Jack ID number for this prize is Z-0991. The instructions for the Navy ship are on the left. It is marked as follows: MADE IN U.S.A. COPYRIGHT 1943 CLOUDCREST , CHICAGO The prize game or puzzle card measures about 8-3/16'' x 1-11/16''. It appears to be in near mint to mint unused condition as pictured. |
