| The picture shows all (11) Small Old Porcelain Figurines in this lot. I do not know what year each of these were made or sold, but I do know that they are not new. My best guess that some are from as early as the 1930's and some may be as late as the 1960's, but I do not know for sure. None of these are marked occupied Japan. Please judge by the picture. The first three are musicians and one is a duplicate. Two are playing a base cello and one a violin or fiddle. All three of these are marked on the bottom: "HAND PAINTED JAPAN". The next one is a small bust. I do not know who he is, maybe Beethoven or Mozart, I don't know. Next there is a pair of small candle holders. I think these children were once angels or cherubs. They each have a hole on their back where there may have been wings at one time. One is numbered on the bottom "C-7951" and the other is mostly rubbed off. Next is the smallest one in this lot. It is a small Victorian woman in a dress. It is marked "JAPAN" on the bottom. The next one is a young man with a cane and hat. He is marked "JAPAN" on the bottom. After that there is a tall young girl talking on the telephone. This one is also marked "JAPAN" on the bottom. Next is another young girl. This one is sitting on a fence with a basket of flowers. She has a kitten or cat at her feet. This one is also marked "JAPAN" on the bottom. The last figurine in this lot is of a Victorian man and woman. She is sitting with a fan and he is standing beside her. There is applied lace for her dress as well as his shirt and cuffs. In addtion to the colors used there is also gold accents. This one is not marked. There is a small chip on the back of the base that I just noticed. All of these for one price! To judge the sizes the first figure measures 3-1/2" tall. |
