The pictures show views of this World War II Serviceman Pepsi Cola Advertising Record With Mailer. Both sides of the record are shown. One side of the record shows three Pepsi Cola Centers for Service Men and Women. One was in Times Square, New York, one in San Francisco, California, and one in Washington, D.C.. As advertised these centers had for Service Men & Women free shaves, free showers, free checking, a lounge, reading & writing facilities, low cost sandwich bar, and free Pepsi-Cola. They were a central meeting place to leave and receive messages. This record is believed to have been made at the Washington, D.C. location.

The record was sent from a Corporal in the Army from the Ordinance Training Regiment at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds in Maryland. It was sent to a Toledo, Ohio address. There is a message on the record but it needs to be played on a 78 rpm record player to be heard. The sleeve or mailer has a three cent postage stamp and is marked as follows:

This is a recored message from your Man in Service.

The other side of the record has a letter type message from Pepsi Cola that reads as follows:

Dear Friend:
Just this minute completed recording the voice of your Man in Service.
You will be happy to know that he is thinking of you and greatly enjoyed sending you this personal message.
It gives us great pleasure to send you this record with our compliments.
Cordially,
Pepsi-Cola
Records By The Recording Corp. 395 Broadway, N.Y.C. 13, N.Y.

To judge the sizes the record measures 6-1/2'' wide. The record is made of paper with a plastic coating. It is in good condition with cracking to the surface plastic on both sides. The mailer has one side opened.
