| | | | The picture shows three views of this Unusual Old Porcelain Serving Plate With Crying Children. Shown is a front and back view and a closer view of the image in the center. The plate is not dated but it is old. The maker is unknown. We do not know why anyone would have a plate made with children crying, but here is one. It has a colorful image in the center with four cute young girls huddled together and crying. The rest of the plate has a very nice blue and white pattern, two handle like openings, and a gold painted edge. There are no markings except for four tiny purple dots on the back. The plate measures 9-1/2'' wide. It appears to be in excellent condition. One of the handles has a hairline crack with a discolored spot from water (see back image). There is wear to the gold paint on the edge from use as pictured. |
