The pictures below show many larger views of this Original Vintage Boxed Cuda Chrome Saturn Model 303 Colorful Fiber Optic Spray Rotating Light. The light is not dated but it is believed to be from the 1960s or early 1970s. The rotaing light is in excellent working order and all original. The light includes the original box with insert, the chrome base and round section, (2) original fiber optic sprays (one is unopened!), the original paper work including “Important Safety Instructions”, “Fiber Optic Spray Instructions”, and the main instruction sheet with the parts list for ordering replacement parts, and the lamp warranty. The lamp was made by the Cuda Products Corporation. It appears that the company is still in business but it now makes only medical type lighting. Besides the paperwork, it is marked on the box, and the lamp bottom cover as follows: MODEL #303 SATURN CUDA PRODUCTS CORP. JACKSONVILLE, FLA. 32217 UL ® CUDA PRODUCTS CORP. JACKSONVILLE, FLA. 32217 MODEL #303 SATURN 20 WATTS MAX. 120 VOLTS, 60 HZ, AC ONLY PORTABLE LAMP ISSUE NO. P-6040 UL ® UNDERWRITERS LABORATORIES This light has fibre optic sprays that come out of the top. They light of on their length and from their tips. The fiber optic spray rotates and inside the lamp, a color wheel also rotates making the light coming out and in the tip change colors. It was difficult to photograph the beautiful colors in the dark, but you can get an idea from the photos included. It works well and lights well as if it were made today. The lighting is also reflected in the clean mirror like chrome ball or Saturn shaped center and base. As intriguing if not more then “lava lite” of the day. The lamp measures about 11'' x 11-12'' not counting the fiber optic spray. It is in perfect quiet working order and appears to be in excellent or better condition as pictured. As mentioned above, it has (2) of the Fiber Optic Sprays, the original paperwork, and the box with divider insert. The lamp will be mailed double boxed with the original box inside. The box is complete, but it has some tearing on one of the top flaps and some age discoloration as pictured. |
