| | | | The pictures below show larger front and back views of this Small Old Carved & Painted Wooden Woman & Man Character Couple Figure Hook Rack. This cute colorful hook rack is not dated but it is believed to be from the 1930s. The hand carved couple sure look happy. Both of the heads of the couple are made to be posable. They are on a round bead for necks and there is an elastic type string going through them. They would work much better if the strings were tightened slightly. We are not sure what the hook rack was made for, perhaps kitchen towels, aprons, keys, a dog leash, or anything else that is small and needs to be handy. There are (4) small brass hooks and (2) brass hangers on the back to hang it on a wall. To judge the sizes the bottom section with the hooks measures about 8'' wide. It appears to be in excellent condition as pictured, but the heads should be tightened as mentioned above. |
