The picture below shows several larger views around this Old Lithographed Mechanical Tin Toy Chein Dime Register Coin Savings Bank. The coin bank is not dated but it is believed to be from the 1950s. The lithograph on it has cash register buttons, a cash drawer, and stars on both sides. It works well. The mechanics count dimes and keeps track as they are inserted in the slot and the slide pushes it inside. We have not filled it, but believe that it would hold $10.00 in dimes. It does have the slotted cover on the bottom, and no key is required. It is marked as follows:

DIME REGISTER BANK
REGISTERS TEN DOLLARS
J. CHEIN & CO.
MADE IN U.S.A.

The tin coin bank measures about 2-1/4'' x 2'' x 2''. It appears to be in excellent condition with only minor wear as pictured.
