To acquire this booklet you would first see it advertised on a series of Cracker Jack prizes in 1928. The animated animal card prizes explained how to order the premium booklet. The prize series has animals that have pop up type parts that move when the page is turned, just like this book that goes with the prize series. The colorful pages with many different animals are all pictured below. They are out of order to keep the three panel fold out animated pages together. Those four, three panel pages have the following moving parts. (1) Book reading Pig's mouth moves.
(2) Donkey's back legs are kicking.
(3) The Owl's mouth moves.
(4) The lead Duck's wing flaps. This Cracker Jack premium booklet measures about 4-1/16'' x 5''. It appears to be in excellent or better condition. The front cover has light age discoloration as pictured. |
