This film is on a 3-11/16'' cardboard reel. The box cover pictures Andy Panda and Woody Woodpecker. This film is © W.L.P. and was for sale in the United States and Canada only. This is a black & white silent cartoon film. The title frames are marked as follows: ANDY PANDA ANDY PANDA'S POP A WALTER LANTZ CARTOON WESTERN ELECTRIC RECORDING COPYRIGHT BY WALTER LANTZ PRODUCTIONS This is an ''16mm Headline Edition''. It is Castle Film NO. #474. The back of the box (not pictured) is the same as the front except it has an old Montgomery Ward price sticker. The box measures 5-1/4'' x 5-1/4'' x 1/2''. The film appears to be in good condition with a missing leader section. The box is in good condition as pictured with some wear and a missing top flap. Below here is some additional information about this film: Plot Summary for Andy Panda's Pop (1941) ''Andrew P. Panda (Andy's pop) asks the local roofing company if they will repair his shoddy roof. He is quickly turned off by the exorbitant price ($200.) and determines, ''I'll fix it myself!'' Naturally, Pop isn't the most skilled of workers but does his best anyway. Unfortunately, his best turns to his worst when an annoying pelican distracts him by making the roof his new home. Pop angrily tries to rid himself of the feathered pest (who just wants to mind his own business) and destroys the roof more than ever in the process. Admitting defeat, he again calls the roofing company only to be irately told, ''FIX IT YOURSELF!!!'' Interestingly, Andy Panda does not appear in this cartoon at all... it's a rare solo cartoon for his dad.'' |
