The pictures below show some larger sample page views of this ©1956 Inside Baseball For Little Leaguers Hard Back Sports Wonder Book. This (64) page hard back book was by Mickey McConnell, that was illustrated by Alan Maver, with a forward by baseball player Ted Kluszewski. It was published by Wonder Books of New York. This book was formerly a Library book from the Berkeley Preparatory Schools, with stampings inside and a Library card holder in the back. The back of the book has many more Grosset & Dunlap “Sports Stories” books from basball, basketball, Boxing, football, and hockey. This book has many tips on playing baseball by Major League Baseball players, including the following:

John Antonelli – New York Giants – How to control a pitch.
Early Wynn – Cleveland Indians – How to fool the batter,
Ruben Gomez – New York Giants - Pitching pointers.
Bob Lemon – Cleveland Indians – How to field when pitching.
Jim Hegan – Cleveland Indians – Catching pointers.
Del Crandall – Milwaukee Braves – How to catch.
Joe Collins – New York Yankees – How to field at first base.
Ted Kluszewski -Cincinnati Redlegs – How to stand at the plate.
Bob Avila – Cleveland Indians – Place hitting.
Andy Carey – New York Yankees – Throwing from the field.
Jim Finigan -Kansas City Athletics – How to play the infield.
Henry Thompson – New York Giants – How to field ground balls in the infield.
Granville Hamner – Philadelphia Phillies – Balance: The secret of hitting.
Harvey Kuenn – Detroit Tigers – Guarding the plate.
Alvin Dark – New York Giants – How to tag base runners.
Minnie Minoso – Chicago White Sox – How to steal bases.
Irv Noren – New York Yankees – How to field ground balls in the outfield.
Duke Snider – Brooklyn Dodgers – How to play the outfield.
Mickey Mantle – New York Yankees – How to bunt.
Willie Mays – New York Giants – How to play Center Field.
Jim Busby – Cleveland Indians – How to run the bases.
Jackie Jensen – Boston Red Sox – The bent leg slide.
Enos Slaughter – Kansas Curt Athletics – How to slide.
Wally Moon – St. Louis Cardinals – How to run.
Al Kaline – Detroit Tigers – How to strengthen your wrists.
Cal Abrams – Chicago White Sox – Catching fly balls.
Leo Durocher – New York Giants – The squeeze play.

The book measures about 6-1/4'' x 8-3/8'' x 3/8''. It appears to be in fair used condition as pictured. It has some wear to the cover, old white tape on the binding edge, age yellowing on the brittle pages, and a few pieces of old scotch tape on a couple small page tears. As stated above, this book was formerly an old Library book from the Berkeley Preparatory Schools, with stampings inside and a Library card holder in the back.
