The picture shows all (14) Old Celluloid Or Tin Pin Back Buttons in this lot. Some of these have paper inserts in the back. Some were used as premiums, some as prizes, and some were sold as novelty pins. I will mention what I can about each. From left to right included are the following:

"SHOW ME WHERE TO GET A DRINK"


Tin with checkerboard border and a gray back.

"KISS ME - NOTHING MAKES ME SICK"


Celluloid with a cartoon character. It has a paper insert that reads:

"HASSAN CIGARETTES - FACTORY NO.30 - 2nd DIST. N.Y. - W & H. CO. - PATENTED"

"LOOK WHO'S HERE"


Celluloid with a cartoon character horse. It has a paper insert that reads:

"QUALITY TOKIO CIGARETTES - FACTORY NO.649 - 1st DIST. NEW YORK - THE WHITEHEAD & HOAG CO. - PATENTED"

It has cracked celluloid and light rusting on the back.

"YOU NEED A SHAVE"


Celluloid with a cartoon character. It has a paper insert that reads:

"M.F. MILLER & CO. 23 DUANE ST., N.Y. CITY - W. & H. CO. PATENTS JULY 17,1894, APRIL 14, 1896, JULY 21, 1896"

"URA J"
Celluloid with a lapel stud button section on the back. There are no markings and it has some spotting and wear.

"SAD SACK"


Tin with cartoon character man sitting on a park bench with "WET PAINT" sign. Silver back.

"ALL I WANT IS LOVE"


Celluloid with small red ribbon for hanging a charm. There is light surface rust on the back.

"DON'T BE SO COCKY"


Tin with cartoon character rooster "MADE IN JAPAN" on the front bottom. Silver back.

"ALL I WANT IS YOU"


Celluloid with a pink ribbon for hanging a charm. There is a paper insert in the back that reads:

"MANUFACTURED BY ED. HAHN 222 W. MADISON ST. CHICAGO, ILL."

There is a Union logo. There is a crack in the celluloid.

"LET'S GET ACQUAINTED"


Celluloid with a paper insert in the back that reads:

"W.F. MILLER 134 PARK ROW N.Y. CITY - MFR. & IMPR. OF NOVELTIES. SEND FOR CATALOGUE.

There are many cracks in the celluloid front.

"DROP DEAD"


Tin with silver back.

"QUIT YOUR KIDDIN' "


Tin with silver back.

"HOT DOGS"


Tin with silver back.

"SAFETY FIRST"


Tin with silver back.

To judge the sizes the largest pinback button here measures 1-3/8" wide. These vary in condition as stated above and pictured.
